Summer School and The Old Man and the Sea...

Summer school is officially in session and after 2 1/2 hours of American Masterpieces I feel that this is going to be quite the adventure! While it doesn't feel as scary as it did when I read the syllabus I do still feel a bit apprehensive. Mr. Kolwinska is full of energy ALL THE TIME so that helps a bit. I sit by friends and that helps alot! The reading will probably be killer, but in the words of E. D. Hirsch I am becoming "acculturated and developing an understanding of what culture values and accepts." As to the nature of my picture, The Old Man and the Sea, it's the happy little book I'm reading for my literary analysis. Fun Stuff!? I hope so. Anyway I'm off to look for some sources and start my National Government directed study. Yay! Happy First Day of Summer School! :)

Hey Carla...I don't know if you remember me at all, but I went to BJ and am friends with Matt (and others from Northland, like Amy Webb). I met you once I think...but I found your site and decided to say hello! I'll be at MBBC in August, and I'm pretty excited! Anyway, sorry this is really random, but I wanted to say hello!
